Is it Halloween yet?

I am so ready for Halloween to be here.

I can't wait to stop helping these bitch ass customers.

Great attitude, right?

Really though, I either need it to be November 3rd or a really strong drink...

RAEJAY
Ajay and I have been together since September 30, 2001. We have known each other our entire lives. We grew up in the same hometown, right next door to each other. He truly is my best friend. We know everything about one another. We have grown a lot together the time that we have been together. Good and bad, we've been through both and everything in between with each other.

He proposed to be on August 10, 2006 in Las Vegas. We were riding on the gondolas at the Venetian. It was romantic and was caught off guard. There is no set date for the wedding, but it will happen one day. I want a huge wedding with our friends and family present. It's a once in a lifetime day and I definitely don't want to skip over it just to be "married". We pretty much are a married couple, minus the legal documents.

MKAK
Miah and Alyssa are identical twins. They were born at Valley Care Hospital in Pleasanton on December 30, 2003. Their due date was February 2, 2004, but Miah was taking all of the food from Alyssa. The doctors said that they would both do better out of the womb. I was induced on the 30th at 9:30AM. Miah was born at 8:10PM, 5 lbs. 6 oz. and 19 inches long. Alyssa was born at 8:13PM, 3 lbs. 6 oz. and 19 inches long.

Now they are almost two months away from being five years old, time really has flown by! They are in the 4's class in preschool. They both love playing dress up, coloring and watching Disney princess movies.

Miah is little miss bossy. She is definitely the more "solid" one of the two. Alyssa (Lissie) is the comedian of the two. She is very stubborn and only listens when she wants to.

BEENIE BUG
Gabriella (Ella) was born on June 10, 2007 at Valley Care Hospital in Pleasanton. She was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 inches long. She was not planned, but definitely expected. I knew that we were going to have another child the night that she was conceived. Her pregnancy, labor and delivery was difficult. I had a health issue when I was pregnant with her that led to a lot of tests and trials of trying to figure out what was going on. Her labor and delivery was much more painful than the twins. But I felt so much better after she was out!

Ella is, with no doubt, the baby of the family. She copies what everyone else does. She tattles on her sisters when she wants something from them. And she melts everyone with her smile. Of course, she gets away with a lot of things because she is the baby of the family. Lissie is more protective over Ella than Miah is. But I think it is because Miah "takes care" of Lissie.

It is so fun to watch them interact everyday. One minute they will all be laughing and playing together and the next minute they will be screaming and fighting over something. I know that it's just preparation for the next 18 years...or longer.

Love Being Awake from 3AM to 5AM

It's a given, right?
We've heard the phrase
"Don't drink and drive"
since we could drive,
maybe even before that.
Some of us have had one of those nights...
You just want to get home and get into your own bed.
Or, you were so drunk that you had no one to
stop you from getting into your car and driving away.

I think that drinking and driving is a very selfish thing.
Not only are you putting your life at risk, but you are putting other
harmless people's lives at risk.
Sometimes we are so caught up in the moment,
we don't realize that our actions
could have a serious effect on someone
else's life.

But those are all things that we have heard at
one time or another,
so I won't go on about that anymore.

What I will go on to talk about is our
Saturday night...
well technically, our Sunday morning.

I was sitting in bed on the Internet, ready to turn in for bed.
It was 3AM at that point,
so sleeping for a few hours before work is
always a good idea.
I heard a car screeching around the corner...
that's not anything new.
There's always assholes driving
around the corner faster
than the 25 MPH speed limit.
This time, after he went around the corner,
I heard a "crunch", car alarm and then boom.

I looked out the window because the car alarm was one
of those obnoxious seven different sound alarms.
Across the street was Ajay's car going off.
Damn, he's the one who has the obnoxious car alarm.
About two seconds later, the alarm stopped,
so I assumed that he just turned off the alarm.

I heard the front door beeping, which means that
someone had opened it.
It had opened and closed two more times
and then I heard my dad talking.
At this point, I didn't know what had happened,
I thought that someone had hit his car because i
t was parked in front of the driveway.
I went downstairs and my dad had said that a
truck went through the apartment building
across the street from our house.

I went out front and sure enough,
there was an older Ford truck sitting
halfway in someone's kitchen.
The other thing that I had noticed when I went
outside was Ajay's driver's side tire. It was inverted in...
that's not how a wheel is supposed to be.
I went closer and sure enough, the guy had hit Ajay's truck.
Not just skidded the side, he full on hit Ajay's front tire,
hard enough to break the axel holding the two front wheels in line.

After two hours of standing out front in the freezing cold weather,
the police just had assumptions about what the driver had done.
No one in the apartment was hurt.
Thank goodness that it was the middle of the night,
the family was all asleep upstairs.
I would have hated to think of what could have
happened if they were awake and downstairs.

The driver was intoxicated and did not speak English.
He told the police that he was doing a u-turn
because he was trying to run from someone who was trying to rob him.
But witnesses said that he tried to reverse after he had hit the apartment
and then tried to get out and run.
A man was able to pin him down so he couldn't run.

Now we have to wait for the police report to get his information.
It's nice that Ajay got this truck about a month and a half ago,
and he just finished paying it off last week.
It was our car that all of us could fit into because the Firebird only fits four people.
Now we are back to square one. Lame.

You Work Where?

A lot of people have no clue as to what the store I work at sells. I guess if you aren't into dance or don't go to costume parties, you wouldn't just drop by the store.

So what is our store exactly? We are a dancewear and costume store. We sell dance shoes, tights, leotards, costumes, costume accessories, theatrical makeup, hats, boas, masks...the list goes on and on. We don't sell just one type of thing, we sell thousands of things. It does make it hard after awhile to keep track of everything that is in the store.

It is a family owned business, so it is like a second family to everyone who works there. I love all of the owners, they are great people and have run a successful business for the last 25 years.

I have been the floor manager for about three months now. I enjoy going to work everyday, which a lot of people can't say. I have a GREAT crew this Halloween. Everyone is doing a great job of selling products AND keeping the store clean. That can be a very difficult task for this time of year. We like to think of Halloween season as our "Christmas season".

We have been dressing up on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The last week of October, we will dress up everyday.

Here are some pictures from the past couple of weekends:

Beginning AND End

A New Beginning Pictures, Images and Photos

A few women on a mommy forum that
I am on have a blog.

I've seen friends who have blogs...
but never really knew what it was about.

I guess this will be a good place solely dedicated to
MY life and MY thoughts.

Sometimes there are things that I want to share,
but have no place to do so...

Now I do!
